cmotion is a lens and camera control system manufacturer based in Vienna, Austria. Since the company was formed in 2002, we have been designing, developing and manufacturing wired and wireless lens and camera control systems for the broadcast and motion picture industry.
Since the original design conception, all cmotion products are designed to be: modular, ergonomic, upgradable, multifunctional, compact and light weight. We launched our revolutionary wireless lens and camera control system in 2003. This system quickly became well established and we received our first public recognition in the form of a Cinec Award just one year later. In 2007, the continued success of our systems gained worldwide acclaim when awarded the Technical Achievement Award by the Academy of Motion Picture Art and Science. A second Cinec Award closely followed in 2008.
Since 2009 we have provided flexible solutions for numerous 3D productions. Starting from a simple firmware upgrade for synchronised lens control using original cmotion systems, to our full 3D “Screen Plane” rig solution, our systems have been the choice for numerous international 3D feature films, sporting and cultural events, music videos and even operations.
Today, with almost 1000 cmotion systems in use worldwide, we are one of the industry’s most reputable manufacturers of lens and camera control systems. Our success has been achieved by remaining focused on what we do best: offer our customers the ultimate experience in lens and camera control.
