New Legacy Overview Sheet!
Have you ever wondered what components of our previous generation cmotion LCS can be used with the cvolution system? Can you use a coperate with a new camin? These and many more pressing questions are now answered with this legacy overview sheet.
Introducing the cvolution camin 8M-TC
Introducing the cvolution camin 8M-TC, cmotion adds time-code and capability and meta data recording to the already broad band of features, another cmotion first in camera and lens control.
The cvolution camin 2M/4M/8M is capable of controlling up to 8 lens and 3d ring motors of various makes and models. It features automatic motor recognition and calibration, wireless and cable operation and control for a wide range of digital and film cameras. In conjunction with the cvolution hand unit and the cdisplay II the cvolution LCS is adaptable to most job demands encountered on today’s fast moving motion picture sets. In addition to precise control and the growing need for stereoscopic shooting solutions there is an increasing demand for real-time meta data recording.
This data, such as focal length, focus distance, iris values is used for 3D rig control and for post-production purposes, especially in motion control applications. The brand-new camin 8M-TC meets this demand by integrating meta data recording into the cvolution system functionality. Optimal precision is achieved by gen-locking the camin to time code equipment present on set, such as time code slates or time code capable cameras, via the camin 8M-TC‘s standard SMPTE Timecode In connector. Of course, the camin 8M-TC keeps all the features of the camin 8M and is also capable of driving up to 8 motors. The recorded meta data can be put out either via the CBUS connector or the USB port. Via CBUS the serial data stream can be input to cameras, 3D or motion control rigs. The USB port enables recording of the stream to USB memory sticks for later use. The data will be saved to an open file format. Using the provided PC software tool conversion to a variety of data and file formats is possible. Stay tuned for more information!
